Raised in a small town on the South shore of
Montreal, Canada, Anne Michaud has been studying and making films for more than ten
years. During her Major in Film Production
at the Mel Hoppenheim School of Cinema at
Concordia University, Anne directed two
short films. The first was a silent
documentary ‘The Park Across the Street’
(2000) and the second, an homage to Italian
Neo-Realism, ‘Nuotare Con I Pesci’ (2001),
won the Philip Russell George Award for
Innovative Use of Original Music in First
Year Film Production and was acquired by the
University.
After a two year break at Cirque du Soleil
working as a researcher in the casting
department, Anne moved to Great Britain for
a Master’s Degree Of Fine Arts specializing
in Feature Film Screenwriting at the Royal
Holloway College, University of London.
Returning from an inspiring journey, she
finished the documentary ‘Worth a Thousand
Words’ (2006), which she started four years
before. After completing the short drama 'Wheels of Love' (2006) in Super16, Anne wrote, directed and produced the conceptual 'NIM5' (2007), a series of short horror films shot in HD. Now a fulltime filmmaker, Anne is writing three feature films, one of which is her project for the year to come.
